Pretty Green packages tied up with string

I've had a very frustrating day of wishing I was back in London... Finding a hairdresser in a town you don't know is hard enough, but in another country it's a nightmare. I was charged a ridiculous amount of money for poor service and a poor cut. I tried to buy some wool for some wintery crafts I'm working on and found it impossible to get anyone to serve me. I know it's not France's fault, but I do wish I was in more familiar surroundings.

Pretty ribbons and supplies are always comforting though and since I've practically been living at the post office these last few days I thought I'd show you some pictures of my packaging and supplies.

  2. I can honestly say that there hasn't been a single day where something about French life hasn't frustrated me, I really don't know how they cope with it year after year?! But remember that you're not alone in this and if you ever need to rant or just be with some people that understand English ways, you know where we live! xxx

  5. Aw, I love how you wrote the address on a little doily! I've never spent a significant amount of time in France but when I spent a month in Germany it took a while to get used to the change in culture... Hang in there!

  6. Sorry to hear about the haircut problems - that must be so frustrating. Sorry to hear France is so frustrating. You're brave to live in a different country that uses a foreign language - you must be good at French!

Lovely packaging - that must cheer you up somewhat after a difficult day
