My favourite procrastination activity is spending an unnecessary amount of time teasing my hair into over complicated hairstyles or watching videos on youtube of people telling me how. I had an essay to hand in last week and clearly curling, twisting, pinning, spraying and combing my hair to perfection was a much more productive way to pass my time.
Now my hair has finally grown out I can try loads of the hair tutorials I've been saving up. If any of you are interested here are some of my favourites:

ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that you got some use out of my tutorial! ^-^
That hair style is amazing! It looks gorgeous. I once worked in an ebay shop that sold a vintage hairstyle book from the 20s, I really regret not buying it. I've always wanted to know how to do finger waves but could only find this on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sBvYUABO0Y
ReplyDeleteyou lovely creature! you look beautiful! i love it, time well spent i say! that jumper is pretty special too. i must get back on track with my crochet (sadly neglected).
ReplyDeleteVery twenties chic, and that jumper has a lovely neckline.
ReplyDeleteWow how pretty!! I am so excited to see one of my bows! I always wonder who they end up with and it is such a delight to see a picture like this :)
ReplyDeleteWould you mind if I posted the pictures on my blog?

Hi! love the hair and love the blog. greetings from Petra in sweden!
ReplyDeletethe first hairdo is ever so lovely! i too wish i had extraneous amounts of time to perfect those tricky vintage hairstyles.
ReplyDeletep.s. thanks for the comment! im glad that some of my paper girls will be living on your desk.
Wow I love the first hairstyle, i wish my hair was long enough for this!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your lovely comments! Will have to try very hard to not let it go to my head. I think I made it very clear, but these are actually all the same hairstyle just taken from different angles.
ReplyDeleteProcrastination involves complicated styles!
Your hair looks amazing! I wish I could do that to my hair!
ReplyDeleteThat hairstyle is adorable and I could definitely never do it on myself, maybe someone else.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, your hair looks brilliant! I just went to a talk last night on vintage hair and makeup and am now feeling thoroughly bored of just having mine plonked on my head the whole time, not doing anything! Gorgeous knitted jumper, too - I need to try and track down some of the translated Phildar patterns, my french isn't good enough for the non-translated ones!
ReplyDeleteOooh so jealous now! I so want to do what you did in the first pic... lack of patience may hinder me but this is so on my list for the weekend now! Merci xx
ReplyDeleteOh you have the most delightfully coloured hair! I must admit I'm quite envious!
ReplyDeleteI love watching youtube hair tutorials! Finding the most beautiful and imaginative braid tutorials is the best! I just wish i was a little bit more patient with my hair!
Peace, love and chocolate sauce! xx
Oooh, and one more thing.. How long did it take you to accomplish such a pretty up-do? x
ReplyDeleteI am very impressed with your hairstyles! Especially the last one x
