I went back to Lyon to visit Pierre for a while (hence the distinct lack of posts) and was introduced to the fine art of watercolours. I found it a really soothing activity and will hopefully be doing lots more. I liked how painting the face was a bit like putting make up on.
The only thing I didn't like was trying to scan in this picture. The colours aren't right at all and the real thing is much softer. Any tips please??

hmmm...watercolours and scanning...always a tricky one. Possible a higher resolution? have you tried that? looking forward to seeing more...

ReplyDeletePerhaps try switching settings... i find sometimes scanning as a photograph rather than illustration makes it more colour correct.

I have terrible trouble with scanning too and have now found that photographing with a good camera gives you better results.
